Janitor's Termination
A downloadable game for Windows
This game was made for the 1st Collab Jam Theme: THE UNEXPECTED. All assets and game code were made within 48hours.
I didn't have time to put audio or the voice lines I had planned into the game.
Thank you everyone who participated in the jam! If you think I should host another one in the future let me know! I had a blast talking with the community as we all made games together! :D

You've been working at this school for 10 years now.
You love it!
You would never trade this janitorial position for the world.
Today your boss approaches you with a concerning face!
"We Love having you here James, But I'm firing you, like right now. Please Leave" he says.
You're shocked! You weren't expecting to get fired "I thought they loved having me here!" you thought to yourself.
"Oh! and could you clean the floors one last time before you leave, thank you!" said boss man as he leaves.
"Oh, I'll make sure the floors get real clean" you thought to yourself with a grin on your face.
You grab your broom and you get to work!

This game is really interesting as a concept. Playing a game where the main character is a broom sweeping up trash is a game we thought we'd have played by now, but here we are. It's great mechanically because its intuitive to just about anyone what the overall goal of your character should be. The whole thing has a hypergeometric design that we really like, even if it was only crafted that way for the sake of time. The bright primary colors and big collections of loose objects give it a katamari damacy feel. There are three things about this that stood out to us. The first was the lack of sound. Almost ANY kind of background would round this out very nicely. The second is the camera. Is there a free camera toggle button? We really wanted to be able to look farther ahead and check our sides more easily. Lastly you GOTTA let us push that broom! It's maddening! Just a little mouse up and down action. A little swish swish. Please, It's a broom, after all.
I need a vacuum cleaner now :)
